Boyfriend and Girlfriend decide to infiltrate the Northwestern Railroad in the uniforms of station workers, secretly hoping to make new acquaintances with the steam locomotives. They end up meeting Thomas, James, Henry and Gordon, who are waiting for them to participate in a battle of the rhythms. Each song reflects the locomotive's character and style, conveying its mood through music.
Boyfriend is waiting to meet many of the railroad's steam locomotives. These locomotives love to have fun and are ready to take on a challenge from Boyfriend.
