Friday Night Funkin' (FNF shortly ) is a rhythm game that has captured the hearts of millions of players around the world. The game was developed as part of the Ludum Dare 47 competition in October 2020 by The Funkin' Crew Inc., including Cameron Taylor (Ninjamuffin99), Isaac Garcia (Kawai Sprite), PhantomArcade and evilsk8r. The game was first released in 2020 on the Newgrounds platform.

The main character, named Boyfriend, tries to win Girlfriend's heart by competing in musical battles with various characters. Exciting competitions, dynamic tracks and unique opponents await you, each of whom has their own style.

FNF gameplay is based on pressing keys to the beat of the music, repeating the combinations that are shown on the screen. Each successful note earns points, and missed notes reduce the player's health bar. If the health bar drops to zero, the player loses the level.

The original game, like many FNF mods, is divided into levels called “weeks”. Each week features several songs (usually three), as well as a new opponent or group of opponents. At the end of each week, the player must complete the final song, which is often the hardest.

Friday Night Funkin' has become a phenomenon in the indie gaming world. Thanks to its accessibility, addictive gameplay and active community, the game has attracted the attention of millions of players around the world. FNF is frequently mentioned on social media, YouTube and Twitch, with many content creators creating videos and streams dedicated to the game.

Friday Night Funkin' is not just a game, but a whole cultural phenomenon that unites people from all over the world.
